Watching Stoke vs. Arsenal in Rwanda

I went to Rubona, east of Kigali last Saturday to watch Stoke City vs. Arsenal. Click the bottom right "full screen" mode on the slideshow above to find out why I was there in the first place. And what the people of Rubona think of Stoke... It's my attempt at a bit of photojournalism.

Brilliant!

This reminds me of heading into an IDP camp in Northern Uganda in 2007, and found a "hotel" where a guy had saved up to buy a small television set, a satellite dish and receiver, and a generator to power it all. He charged a few schillings to the folks in the camp to watch live football matches. Incredibly ingenuity and entrepreneurship!
