RSS will not make me a sheep

I've been working on a series of slides - a "deck" is the common parlance I believe - for a presentation I'm giving next week. Today I come across the deck above (via multiple sources). It says a lot of what I want to say better than I think I plan to say it in my presentation. I tend to steer clear of wordy keynote presentations. I prefer to talk over metaphorical images - if that doesn't sound too pretentious. So, for example, I plan to discuss the manmade chaotic mess of the internet with this image before illustrating how orderly we can make it using RSS. However, this doesn't mean we have to be sheeplike and subscribe to the same blogs and newspaper feeds like everybody else. We can use the Internet's pipework to plumb the web in far more intelligent ways. But now I've seen Marta Z. Kagan's slides I may adapt... well, maybe. I like mine :) And, yes, all the images are Creative Commons licensed for use, including Santos' famous living room bookshelves. Meanwhile, here's a quick peak of the room I deliver these training sessions/presentations in a couple of times per month - Windows users avert your eyes now...

PS. And I suppose I should add for my own peace of mind that my presentation is more social by nature as it's aimed at training people not just telling them about something i.e I impart practical knowledge. Big difference. Although it does make me realise how useless sharing any of my own efforts on SlideShare would be. Without the mind behind the creation actually doing the presenting too much meaning would be lost, IMOSPO.
