Stood in a queue in Toulouse
I was stood in a queue down the fag shop yesterday. Yesterday, in France, was a national holiday. This gaff is possibly the most popular cigarette shop in Toulouse - especially when everywhere else is closed i.e during a national holiday. For the record, I bought a 20 pack of Dunhill Blue for €5.30. They weren't for me - I don't smoke. The bloke in front of me bought a pack of Phillip Morris. The bloke behind me spoke Spanish. It all felt like standing in line at a chemist/drug dealers. Being a smug ex-smoker I see smokers as kind of self-inflicted disabled people - they're all a bit sad, but I'm ever grateful of a seconhand hit on a sidewalk cafe if one drifts my way. Alors... more queues here.

I think I can just about call myself a reformed smoker. It's been over four months now - though last year I spent more time not smoking than smoking - but I fell off the wagon a lot.
Funny thing about smokers, particularly since the smoke ban in the UK - they seem to look increasingly down at heel.
As soon as you're not a smoker they appear so sad. Then again - put me in a beer garden and I wish I'd never quit.
Oh to be in Vietnam again - where cigarettes aren't bad for you :o)
