NYVina
Just discovered via Andrea's newsletter that on Monday 29th October the Asia Society in New York City is hosting a Vietnamese food panel. Panelists include, Bobby Chin, Andrea Nguyen, KT Tran, Corinne Trang and will be moderated by James Oseland from Saveur Magazine. Unfortunately, I wasn't invited :) But it sounds like it might still be worth going,
The food of Vietnam is taking the world by storm. From Hanoi's old quarter to the streets of downtown New York, from pho (beef noodle soup) to bánh mì (charcuterie sandwiches), Vietnamese cuisine tantalizes and satisfies like no other on Earth. Explore its evolution on today's culinary landscape. A light food tasting and reception follows.
Would have loved to have been there, but I'll be in London watching the tramp in the video above .
I'm missing this event by one day and am not happy about it. I was really hoping to catch Andrea, as I love her cookbook.
