Non-working lunch

Bun Cha, district 1, Quan Ho Tay, 20B Tran Cao Van street, Saigon, Vietnam. An oldie, but a very goodie. A Hanoi staple in the south. Packed to the fluroscent tubes and beyond this lunchtime.

Oooooooh, I love bun cha, Pieman! My mom grills the meat right in her backyard. Our family prefers it just a tad sweet, so my mom brushes the meat with a tiny bit of honey. The extra spicy fish sauce balances out the sweetness, and simply just adds so much to the flavor, too! YUM!!

...You're just trying to butter us up after those fallopian tubes, aren't you...?

Honey. What a great idea. I like. No buttering up here Kimson, more tubes in the err... pipeline.

It's a winner this joint AND they don't serve this Hanoian dish in the evening in Hanoi. In Saigon, all day long, totally authentic too. Nice.
